An invitation is extended to all young women to purchase a membership in the Catholic Women's League of Canada. By doing so you will be:

  • supporting the efforts of League members across Canada who are diligently working to promote the teachings of the Catholic church.
  • part of the largest national organization of Catholic women in Canada with a tradition of service to others as expressed in its motto 'For God and Canada'. The League is the united voice of all Catholic women.

The Catholic Women's League of Canada is an organization that contributes to the life and vitality of the church, family and community, both at home and abroad. While your presence at meetings is important, we realize that in this busy world it may not always be possible for you to attend. Be assured that your interest and support is as important as your attendance!

We also raise funds to support many Catholic charities. Our main fund raising event is the annual Fall Fair, where we raise several thousand dollars each year. The funds we raised are given mainly to missions in Kenya and Peru and for our own St. Augustine’s School.

Many women prefer to join the League as “silent” members, as they may not have the time to be active members at present, but recognize the valuable work we do. At $20.00 per year, the cost of membership is quite minimal. Your membership helps us bring your voice to government at the national level. In this way, your lone voice can be heard. We can change laws. The more women we represent, the stronger is our united statement.

When Are the Meetings?

We meet at the Parish Centre on the second Sunday of the month after the 9AM Mass. Coffee, tea, juice and snacks are served prior to the meeting

Why Get Involved?

Everyone is talented in her own way. Each one of us has so much to contribute. You can get as much out of an organization as you are willing to give.

Who Belongs to the CWL?

Ladies of the parish just like you. These women are raising families, working in and out of the home, new mothers, grandmothers, teens, potential friends. They also serve as Eucharistic ministers, lectors and visitors to the sick and elderly.
