Think of that intense inspiring sensation and feeling, when something very special reaches you so deeply. It is an inexplicable, remarkable and humbling experience when you know there is a much greater power at work. Many parents felt the awe of witnessing their sons and daughters maturing within the church and its community. This is what we felt when our daughter Emma received the sacrament of Confirmation on May 8th. Celebrated by Father Terry McNamara, the St. Augustine’s grade seven students, along with students from PREP, and other local Catholic Schools received the gift of the Holy Spirit that night.

Others, led by Wal-Mart, have been trying to wriggle out of signing by creating a weak alternative that was pure PR. But the latest disaster has triggered crisis meetings and massive pressure to sign the strong version that can save lives.
